The heart of Jesus, formed by the Holy Spirit in the womb of the Virgin Mother...
“In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin's name was Mary. And coming to her, he said, "Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you." But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end." But Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?" And the angel said to her in reply, "The holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren; for nothing will be impossible for God." Mary said, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word." Then the angel departed from her.” (Lk 1:26-38)
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is also the Son of Mary - the Woman of Nazareth. It is to her that God sends the Archangel Gabriel to tell her the news that she is to become the Mother of God's Son. After Mary's "Fiat", the Holy Spirit shielded her and She conceived Jesus (Lk 1:35). From this moment begins the life story of God - Man, to which Mary was also invited. The miracle of the Incarnation shows us the greatness of God's love. Jesus becomes a man, humbles himself to exalt each of us. This is the only invovation of the Litany to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in which Mary - His Mother is mentioned. Worshiping the Divine Heart of Jesus, we cannot forget about her who became the companion of his life, death and resurrection. Jesus wanted to have a pure Virgin, Immaculately conceived, as Mother. After all, he came into the world to free people from sin, so he could not let His Mother be affected by any sin. He loved her and gave her the fruits of redemption first. Let us thank Him for His humbleness and our exaltation. Let us thank him for his mother, whom he also gave us as our mother.
LIVE THE WORD!
Look at your relationship with Mary, the best mother. Entrust yourself to her motherly protection and intercession. Also remember to respect and love your mother who gave you life.
FEAST OF JESUS CHRIST, THE ETERNAL AND HIGH PRIEST
(1st Thursday after Pentecost).
The Lord has sworn an oath and he will not retract: you are a priest forever, in the line of Melchisedech
“This is a Roman Catholic moveable liturgical feast celebrated annually on the 1st Thursday after Pentecost. Approval for this feast was first granted by the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments in 1987.
It is observed by the Confraternity of Christ the Priest in Australia and all the Roman Catholic dioceses of Spain. Since 2013, it has been observed in Poland (Decree, 3 April 2013) in the Netherlands the following year, since 2015 in Czech Republic. Since 2018, the feast is observed in England and Wales.
It focuses on Jesus’ Priestly Office (Latin: Munus sacerdotale). Jesus is considered the model for believers, and for the clergy in particular, with priests acting in persona Christi (“In the person of Christ”). The laity are thus urged to pray that priests would be more like Christ, the compassionate and trustworthy high priest (Hebrews 2:17), ever-living to intercede for humanity before The Father (Heb 7:25).
As we pray in the today’s Preface:
For by the anointing of the Holy Spirit you made your Only Begotten Son High Priest of the new and eternal covenant, and by your wondrous design were pleased to decree that his one Priesthood should continue in the Church. For Christ not only adorns with a royal priesthood the people he has made his own, but with a brother’s kindness he also chooses men to become sharers in his sacred ministry through the laying on of hands. They are to renew in his name the sacrifice of human redemption, to set before your children the paschal banquet, to lead your holy people in charity, to nourish them with the word and strengthen them with the Sacraments. As they give up their lives for you and for the salvation of their brothers and sisters, they strive to be conformed to the image of Christ himself and offer you a constant witness of faith and love.
Let as thank Our Lord Jesus Christ for being the Mediator before the Father, the Victim, and the Eternal priest, all at the same time, for our salvation. May we also imitate Him in His sacrifice and self-giving, for we are called to be co-redeemers of His plan of salvation.
Let as prayer for all Priest around the World”
Until Tomorrow
