The kingdom of God is us - humans

In order to understand today's Gospel, one must first realize that the kingdom of God is us - humans. This is not some undefined space. It is a man! Everyone, not only those who believe in God and obey Him.

The mustard seed that Jesus speaks is smaller than the poppy seed which we know. In fact, within a few weeks, it can grow into quite a large tree. And now notice that Jesus sees us as likeness to such a seed. He sees our littleness, but at the same time he sees the potential that is in us. If we do not get lost somewhere but fall into the soil of God's love for a long time, our greatness will be revealed in all its glory.

We are also similar to leaven. This leaven is caused by the spoilage of bread. And in us, if we only let God act, what is spoiled can become the beginning of great good.

God's Kingdom is not impressive in its greatness. It impresses with its power. It is small but incredibly strong. So strong that it can handle any evil. It has the power to bring even the greatest sinner to Heaven. It is Heaven that is that "great tree" that gives shelter to "birds of the air."

This power of the kingdom of God is based on Love. Love is strength, it is almighty. After all, it is greater than hope and than faith which "moves mountains".
