Two in me: Lk 14:1-6

Where is your faith leading you? See the distinctive attitudes of the Pharisees: they follow Jesus. What is your relationship with Jesus? Maybe you are not following him physically like the Pharisees, but trying to catch him on the word: "You say that God is my Father, why do I feel so lonely?"

And the second attitude: silence. They do not want to enter into dialogue with Jesus. Perhaps they are offended by the fact that their holy law is undermined. So sacred that it is ruthless to man and gentle to the animal. What a paradox! Maybe you do not enter into dialogue with Jesus because you are afraid of Him, you are afraid that it will lead you to change your views or your thinking to which you are attached.

See, just today Jesus is coming to be withYou, to set You free. How often we practice, we follow Jesus, and at the same time we think to ourselves: nothing can be changed in my life. If you think that nothing can be changed in your life, then ... change your thinking. And this is precisely what the meeting with Jesus leads to: transforming the Pharisee's thinking and healing the sick. Can you already see that they are both- Pharisee and Sick person - in you and both need the healing power of Jesus? They are both in me too.

One more thought

Love is inherent in our nature, statutory law, with its regulations, is not. Love makes a man wise. Law not always. Law is needed where there is no Love, then lest stupidity overwhelm us completely.

However, there is no wisdom above Love. Only if we do not call something love that is not Love, which is, for example, a fleeting, though perhaps strong, feeling. Love must be learned from the greatest Master - Jesus. It is definitely a difficult skill. But it is undoubtedly better to learn Love than the law.
