Fr. Joseph Choi was born in Seoul, South Korea, but has lived in Los Angeles from a young age. A lifelong member of Christ the King Church, Fr. Joe is also an alumnus of Christ the King School, graduating in May 2005. Immediately after high school, he entered the Archdiocesan college formation house, the Juan Diego House. Fr. Joseph would continue on to St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo, CA, where he received his Master of Divinity degree. Fr. Joe was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles on June 03, 2017.
After ordination, he has served as associate pastor at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in Ventura (2017-2021) and at St. John Vianney Church in Hacienda Heights (2021-2023). He is currently pursuing further studies, working towards a licentiate degree in systematic theology at the Catholic University of America.
