Heart of Jesus, in Whom there Dwells the Fullness of God

IMG_2767.jpeg

“When Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi he asked his disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?"  They replied,

"Some say John the Baptist, others Elijah, still others Jeremiah or one

of the prophets." He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"

Simon Peter said in reply, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God." Jesus said to him in reply, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah.

For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father.  And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.

I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven.  Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."  Then he strictly ordered his disciples to tell no one that he was the Messiah.”  (Mt 16:13-20)

Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God. However, people did not immediately think of Him as such. Peter bravely confessed this truth on behalf of the apostles. He heard, however, that it did not belong to human knowledge.

The Father revealed it to Peter. People looking at Jesus' signs wondered who He is. He healed the sick, raised the dead, cast out evil spirits, silenced winds, and forgave sins. Everyone and everything obeyed him. Hence the great amazement and question of many rose: who is He? Peter, early, learned the secret of Jesus, others only after the greatest miracle, which was the Resurrection. And who is Jesus to me? He is God and I must not forget that. In the Heart of Jesus is the fullness of the deity. And in my heart can be God with the gift of his peace, joy, love ...

I just have to let Him live in me, become his host. Let us thank Jesus for revealing us the truth about his deity.

Let us thank that also our heart He wants to fill with God's gifts.

LIVE THE WORD! Look today at who Jesus is to you. Confess his divinity and make him Lord of your life.

Receive Him in your heart.

Until Tomorrow
